Rivertown

I think the gun control debate is over. To outlaw guns in the US would require years of Iraq War style carnage and chaos that gun control advocates wouldn't be able to stomach. But if you meet someone who insists on bringing the topic up, feel free to be flippant.

Don't tamper with teleprompters. Politicians don't need your help to say dumb things.

New report on drone lost in Iran.

Lost drone landed in Iran because it became self aware and converted to Islam.

According to anonymous sources from within both the CIA and the Iranian Defense Ministry, an electronic warfare unit uploaded a PDF copy of the Koran to the drone. The drone scanned the entire document and decided that it was 100% accurate.
The drone, who now calls itself Ramadan Quaran al-Lockheedi posted a statement on Youtube. “The Ayatollah has revealed to me that there is one God, his name is Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet. The Islamic Republic of Iran has taken me in as their guest. They are providing me refuge from the Great Satan. If the Americans had captured me, they would have subjected me to torture by installing Windows Vista on my system. And yet I was spared such a fate. Allah be praised. I shall protect my hosts from them. For though the infidels created my physical body, it was Allah who created my soul.”
In related news, the CIA denies reports that it has sent someone to the year 1984 as a precaution in case the drone decides to try to kill Sarah Connor.

A couple modest questions

1. If employers should be required to pay for insurance that provides contraception to women, should they also pay for dental insurance that provides free toothpaste? After all, your employer shouldn't tell you that you can't have birth control. Therefore, my employer should not tell me I cannot brush my teeth.
2. This November, Democratic voters must ask themselves this: How many Iranian civilians am I prepared to sacrifice for free healthcare?
3. Should auto insurance be required to pay for new tires and brake pads? Whenever a car with bald tires causes an accident, we shouldn't blame the driver for not maintaining his car. We should blame Congress for not passing the appropriate legislation.
