Post-Christmas post

Every year, I get shirts. Nice and utilitarian. But my acquisition of new shirts is starting to outpace my disposal of old shirts, and this is starting to fill up my closet. Perhaps I should start asking for pants, although that would require calling up all my relatives and notifying them of an ever increasing waist size on an annual basis. (It's size 42) Anyhow, between uniforms provided by my employer and shirts from my relatives, my annual clothing budget usually runs between $100 to $200.

Ice storm!

All the ice on the trees made the landscape look colder than it really is. Sunday, the actual temp dropped to match the look. All the falling branches and the ice-covered streets are creating a hazard now, but it will mean less leaves to rake next fall.

"Gods and Generals"

While shopping today, I saw DVD copies of the movie "Gettysburg" on sale for $9.99. Also available on the exact same sales rack were packages containing both "Gods and Generals" and "Gettysburg" for $9.99.

Apparently the movie "GaG" sucks so bad that a DVD of it does nothing to increase the price of "Gettysburg.
